The easiest way to grant a third-party access to the files in a given directory is to set up an FTP account and to put content access limits concerning your hosting space. In case you use the services of a web designer, for instance, they will not have access to any other files or any personal details within your hosting account. You can also use multiple FTP accounts to maintain a number of sites built with a desktop web design app like FrontPage or Dreamweaver – each website can be published on the World Wide Web and later updated using an FTP account with access to its very own site folder on the hosting server. All these things will be possible provided that you’re able to set up and manage your FTP accounts without hassles.
FTP Manager in Web Hosting
Our custom Hepsia Control Panel, which is included with every web hosting package, will provide you with access to various features to manage your FTP accounts conveniently via the FTP Manager section. If you would like to set up a new account, to modify the password pertaining to an existing one or remove it completely, it won’t take more than a click. For your convenience, you can create an FTP account on your PC by downloading and installing an auto-config file for several FTP apps – CyberDuck, FileZilla, Core FTP. FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our semi-dedicated server configurations are managed through the intuitive, in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections, the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and all the things related to them, so you can administer all the accounts quickly and seamlessly. It will take one click of the mouse to create a brand new FTP account, to delete an active one or simply to change its password. You can also view the full list of your accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for your convenience, you can arrange them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by their access path or by username. Changing the path for a specific account is also amazingly easy – you simply have to click on it and pick the new folder in the pop-up that will show up, so you won’t have to set up a new account if you simply need to define what website files an existing one can access. You can also use auto-config files for popular FTP software programs such as Core FTP and FileZilla.
