A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s incredibly easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will just have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you have created using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
